We compare ourselves to the social surrounding
it seems that the brain is tune to comparisons, not to absolute values. we also want to be equal, if not more then equal members in our group
Jealousy
if some of the members hare better position the we are, it will make us feel under threat. We may become jealous and try to tell our selves and others that they have cheated.
Control
When we seek to be in control of a group, we will divide the group in to three parts: Those that are neutrals, those that are able people and can help us control the group, and those that may threaten our leadership in some way. We will try to make the second group our allies, and to undermine the third group.
